Thanksgivings and Intercessions

For the special needs and concerns of this congregation. Agnes DeFeo, and the DeFeo and Spielmann families, Lara Pilla, Lynette Lewis, Claudette Buffalo, Manuel Ferraro, John Gore, Christa Klein, Naomi Henderson, Kimberly DeShon, Vera Johnson, Lisa Ferguson, Wayne Kempton, Shelly Henderson, Anthony Giannone, Sr., Jon Apolinario, Shelly Rabinowitz, Ruth Reveria, Dottie Tarallo, Shaadira and Roland Smith, Bobby D’Amato, Tina D’Amato, Wendy Maxwell, Corey Maxwell, Wayne Maxwell, Cathi Venturini, Barbara Famularo, John Tracy, Aida Carino, Judith Shorrocks, Mary Jane Nolan, Catherine Corry, Eileen Quinn, Nancy Headley, Tara Bowers, Carmen Hanchard, Carla Jean DeBride, Felix Benzan, Tom O’Connor, Ruby Dixon, Joan Smith, Carol Shoemaker, Neil Parkey, Tom Cacavio, Monica Harmon, Ralph Tremonte, and The Rev. We pray for Anthony Johnson as he continues his journey as a Postulant for diaconal ordination, for the Scavenging Workers’ Children in India, for those struggling with fires and the aftermath of hurricane, typhoon and tornado damage, for tighter gun control, for those in war-torn countries, for our President, Congress and our country, for our first responders and military, and for all refugees and immigrants, especially the children.

We thank you, Lord, for all the blessings of this life including those celebrating birthdays and anniversaries this week especially Barbara Ziegler and Ralph Tremonte, this neighborhood of Getty Square, for all who live and work here, for all who come here for goods and services, for those who are homeless and hungry, for The Sharing Community and Westhab, The Salvation Army, YWCA and the YMCA, the Yonkers Fire and Police Departments, and all who work to help others. We pray for healing for those who struggle with addictions, and physical and mental handicaps. May we be blessed with compassion and love, and may this Congregation be the hands and feet of Christ in Getty Square.

We pray for all who have died, that they may have a place in your eternal kingdom includiAnchorAnchorng Margaret Morgan Lawrence, Julia Spielmann, Gerald Gravino, The Rev. Leonard Klein Arnold Eshoo, Sandra McKessy, and all who have died the world over from war, terrorism and natural disasters. We also lament those who have died over the centuries due to slavery, lynching, racism and the unequal and unjust treatment of peoples in this country.
