Intercessions and Prayers

In this time of pandemic from COVID-19, we pray especially for all who have the virus or other related conditions and their family and friends, for Ralph Tremonte who continues to be in critical care in the ICU in Phelps Hospital, for Hampson Sisler (George Morrison's cousin), Althea Swift and Raul Chavez, and we pray for all who need our prayers including Michael Sullivan (Angie's nephew) and his wife Mary who is due on June 8th, Karen Marchewka (fractured her knee this week), Dennis Drap (broken neck), Aida Carino, Etta Blagrove, Deacon Luis Rivera, Bill Randolph, Tracey Haranga, Bill Naedler, Betty Drislane, Juanita Rios, Bobby and Tina D’Amato, Lisa and Squire Osborne, James O’Keefe, Sylvia Tierney, Lara Pilla, Lynette Lewis, Claudette Buffalo, John Gore, Kimberly DeShon, Lisa Ferguson, Shelly Henderson, Anthony Giannone, Shaadira and Roland Smith, Susan Spielmann and her children, Wendy Maxwell, Corey Maxwell, Cathi Venturini, Eileen Quinn, Carmen Hanchard, Carla Jean DeBride, Felix Benzan, Tom O’Connor, Ruby Dixon, Joan Smith and The Rev. Canon Claudia Wilson. We pray for Anthony Johnson, a Postulant for diaconal ordination, and for ALL who are working in hospitals, nursing and group homes, including Anthony, Elaine, Amy, Mary and Olivia, for all who have lost their jobs and all of those who are struggling to pay their rent and other expenses, for the Scavenging Workers’ Children in India, for our President, Congress, Governors, Mayors and our country, for our first responders, especially Aaron, and for our last responders including Michael Sullivan, for our military, and for all refugees and immigrants, especially the children.  And we pray also for all who are grieving the recent deaths of loved ones and friends, including Mary O'Neill (death of husband), Al DeFeo (death of his uncle), the Walsh family (death of Peter's brother Robert), Mary DeBride and the DeBride and Henderson families mourning the death of Mary's daughter, and Carrie Parkey and her family mourning the death of Carrie's brother.

We thank you for all the blessings you have bestowed on us and for the gift of our Mothers and all who mother others on this Mother's Day, we rejoice in those who are recovering from COVID-19, especially Naomi Henderson and Chris Craft, Emanuel and Frank Tabone, Carol Shoemaker and Mercedes Chavez; we thank you for thoseAnchor celebrating birthdays this week including Chris Michel-Karsten, we rejoice in the birth of Aaron and Marsha McKinney's newest grandchild Mallory Williams, and we thank God for this neighborhood of Getty Square, all who live and work here, all who come here for goods and services, those who are homeless and hungry, The Sharing Community and Westhab, The Salvation Army, YWCA and the YMCA, the Yonkers Fire and Police Departments, and for Saint John's Riverside Hospital, Saint Joseph's Hospital, and for all hospitals, nursing homes and group homes, and for all who work to help others and all who pray for others.   We thank you also for all of the families and children who are able to work and study at home, and we pray for their good health, the blessings of time together, and the gifts of family and friends.

Rusty Hesse, Robert Walsh (Peter's brother), former parishioners James O'Neill and Dorothy Wood Stone, Jane McGil (Karen Marchewka's best friend), Neil Parkey, former parishioners Margaret and Eugene Beachak, Ruth Sanborn, Marielou DeBride, Donald Bookal, Clive Brown, Ray Kenny, Kimberly Ann Remppel, David Blagrove, and all who are grieving the loss of their mothers or a lack of good mothering on this Mother's Day and all mothers who have lost a child and continue to grieve that deep loss and loss of identity as a mother, and we pray for all who have died the world over from disease (especially COVID-19), war, terrorism and natural disasters.
